CHELSEA captain John Terry has signed a new five-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2014. The 28-year-old England defender, Chelsea's most successful captain, has been at the club since the age of 14.

IN Saturday's Echo an article titled 'Pounds 650k Heroin Dealer Jailed' the picture caption stated that Thomas Conway had been jailed for two and a half years after being caught with Pounds 650k worth of heroin. Conway had actually been jailed for dealing amphetamines and cannabis in order to pay off the people who had lost out when his 10- kilo heroin stash was discovered by Dover customs officers - as stated in the article.

TWO nurses at Lincoln County Hospital have been invited to share their experiences of a new hospital service with experts from across Europe. Specialist macular nurses Elaine Davis and Amanda Williams will travel to the European Society of Ophthalmic Nurses and Technicians conference in Barcelona on September 12 to give a presentation on their nurse-led AMD clinics.

Windmill Farm 'Would Power 50,000 Homes'
AN ENERGY company is developing plans to power 50,000 homes with a new wind farm near Sleaford. Farmland in Heckington Fen, east of Sleaford, is the favoured location for the Ecotricity project which could provide 50 Mega- Watts of power and save 71,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted each year.
