Vulcan Set to Re-Enact War Mission

THE fully restored Vulcan bomber will appear at an air show for a spectacular simulation. The Vulcan XH558 will, for the first time, perform a "bombing run" at The Victory Show at Cosby, Leicestershire, on Saturday.

Club's Willy Wonka Night

A LINCOLN nightclub will be offering students a new alternative this Freshers Week with a Willy Wonkathemed club night. On Wednesday, September 23, the weekly Pick 'n' Mix night at Sakura in High Street will be transformed into Wonka's factory, featuring chocolate fountains, free sweets and Willy Wonka-inspired cocktails. There will also be a fridge full of beer up for grabs.

Plans to Cut Down 21 City Trees

A TOTAL of 21 trees across the city will be pruned or felled during work by council contractors. An ash tree in Cecil Street and a sycamore, pine and laburnum in Limelands, off Greetwell Road, Lincoln, will be cut down if City of Lincoln Council plans are given the go-ahead by planning officials.
