LICENSEES across Lincoln say the series of raids on bars and clubs in the city is 'using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.' Since the beginning of April, Lincolnshire Police has served Section 19 closure notices to Essence and Quayside bars and Rileys snooker club in Silver Street.
A Section 19 closure notice is given to those venues deemed to be in breach of their licensing conditions, and prohibits the sale of alcohol until the venue is once again in accordance with their set conditions.See the full content of this document
