Summary


A woman who murdered her businessman fiance by locking him in his workshop store cupboard and then setting light to the building has been ordered to serve a minimum of 23 years after receiving a life sentence.

Judge Michael Heath, passing sentence at Lincoln Crown Court, described divorcee Julie Dixon, 43, as having produced "a performance worthy of an Oscar" in her efforts to absolve herself of any blame for the killing her long-term partner David Twigg, 46.
