A FORMER Lincolnshire Police officer is looking for a team of volunteers who will help give spiritual and emotional support to people in disaster zones.
Mike Freeman, who is originally from St Giles, Lincoln, has been tasked with establishing a UK network of 'Rapid Response Teams'. But unlike other organisations, they will be deployed to countries across the globe to help victims and workers through the horrors of natural and man-made disasters. "Our aim is to establish a network of individuals across the UK specially trained in providing assistance to those badly affected by disasters by offering emotional and spiritual assistance," said Mr Freeman. "We will not only help survivors and the relatives and friends of victims but also emergency services personnel who may be adversely affected by their involvement.See the full content of this document
