The letter from Keith Parkins (Your View, February 10) regarding the lack of publicity surrounding the book Capturing Lincoln Cathedral, and on the same page Simon Harrison's letter suggesting that the fine Echo photo of the cathedral in the snow would make an excellent Christmas card, highlights for me an even greater lack of marketing know-how shown by the cathedral and the publicity departments of both city and county.
In July 2008 my family and I were entertaining a party of 16 friends from Cyprus who were on a visit to Lincoln for one day. After a jolly lunch at the Barge on the Brayford and a tour of the university there was little time left for an in-depth visit to the cathedral quarter before catching their return train to London.See the full content of this document
