TOP of the bill this week is the Last Night of the Proms event at Lincoln Drill Hall. This enterprising tie-in event combines the outstanding classical music talents of Lincolnshire young musicians (providing the first half of the concert), with the authentic atmosphere of the second half of the famous Last Night concert relayed direct from the Royal Albert Hall - bring your Union Jack to join the "biggest community sing-along" in the world.
This year's star young musicians are saxophonist Mark Hurrell from Queen Elizabeth Grammar school in Horncastle and piano playing sisters Chloe and Chantelle Yau from the Lincoln Priory Academy, all of whom have delighted audiences at the Drill Hall Young classics events during the past year. The event is free, but you are advised to book your seats in advance, as it promises to be sold out.See the full content of this document
