A MAN who took his top off and appeared to be "spoiling for a fight" shortly before a separate confrontation in which a Lincoln chef died was spared jail by a judge.

Carl Poucher, 23, was ordered to carry out 200 hours community punishment after he admitted becoming involved in an affray outside the Chicken Cottage takeaway on Lincoln's Brayford Wharf North in September 2009.
