WITH the nights drawing in and the constant need for the regular clearing of leaves, Marek, our Polish handyman, and me have been spending rather a lot of time in the garden at Chez FM recently.

Of course, a gentleman of a certain age should not be forced to spend so much time bending and scraping and I have found that it was necessary to switch on the heating in The Potting Shed, as we enjoyed a snifter after our endeavours the other evening.
