A PENSIONER from Lincoln is calling for a greater police presence on the streets after louts tried to steal lead from his bungalow. Alex Cowen, 75, of Aldergrove Crescent in Lincoln woke to find thieves had attempted to wrench lead flashing from above the porch door of his home. It was the third incident of attempted lead thefts in the area in as many nights, after two homeowners aged 80 and 86 were also targeted in neighbouring Snetterton Close.
A further four alleged lead thefts have also taken place at homes in the two roads over recent months.See the full content of this document
