Silt Clearing Works to Be Completed

WATERWAY engineers have almost finished clearing silt from a river to reduce the risk of flooding in a county town.

The Environment Agency, in partnership with the Lindsey Marsh Drainage Board, began Pounds 32,000 of work on the Woldgrift Drain, near Mablethorpe, early in the new year. And if the weather stays settled, they could be finished by the end of the week.
