Skipping School

Summary

SCHOOLCHILDREN are skipping their way through four days as part of a sponsored event to raise money for charity. Pupils from Branston Community College are taking on the skipathon challenge in a bid to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) this week. Each class in the school, ranging from children aged 11 to 18 years old, has spent half an hour during lunchtime break every day this week taking on the challenge. Teacher Alison Hackett who organised the event said: "We're doing it as part of the Change One Thing Week to heighten awareness of being healthy and encouraging kids to change just one thing to become more healthy.

"It's been very popular." Pictured is Sophie Hackney and Bertie Harper, both 14.
