A SOLDIER from Louth has been awarded for bravery in the latest gallantry honours from the Queen.

Gunner Steven Gadsby, of the Royal Artillery, was handed the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for carrying two injured soldiers across a bridge in view of the enemy so they would get medical aid.
