I WAS particularly intrigued by the comments of Karl McCartney (February 10) and the views of any prospective Conservative Government on longer train-company franchises, electrification and other rail improvements.
Mr McCartney, as Lincoln's Conservative Parliamentary candidate, should remember that it was a Tory Government which privatised and sold off the national organisation and infrastructure after the 1992 election.See the full content of this document
